Doesn’t everyone practice the piano in dinosaur pjs and sequins hats? These two can be tough sometimes but man do I love them. Last night. NKY Picnic Table Project with Sophie’s GS troop. The girls impressed me so much! Also helpful: having a mom there who is an amazingly talented tattoo artist. The circles in Cincinnati are small and tonight two separate lifetimes combined. Closer to fine, indeed. ❤️ Picked up what felt like a hundred old cigarettes with the boys’ den tonight (and caps and wrappers and bottles and bits of string and broken plastic and and and). But there was lots of prettiness, too. I suppose what you’re looking for defines much of what you see. morning Boy Scout campout (last night) That kid in the sky is wearing jeans and no shirt and is happyhappyhappy with this weather right now. It’s approaching dusk and the kids are still outside. They still need to do their homework and practice the piano but I almost can’t bear to call them in. Sun! Also that middle top print is by Yelena Bryksenkova. Andy said, “More art?” when another print (blackberry jam) arrived in the mail yesterday. I love her work so much. Dried flowers found in an 1876 copy of “Nooks and Corners of the New England Coast” by S. A. Drake. It reminds me of Queen Anne’s lace and every time I open this book I can’t help but think of Addison May (her name is on the bookplate) and these flowers she chose to press more than 100 years ago. gray April days One night’s stay at Nini and Pop Pop’s. Also, Tucker wanted to pose, too. O’s making a comic book. “old timey places,” “a good amount of luck” ❤️ The scientist finds things in each time period for the museum, all the while escaping danger. Actually, maybe I should just have him write my picture books for me ... (Also, there’s one page where an animal dies due to hunting for food, and he wrote “Beware if you are sensitive of animals dieing skip this page!” Sophie is super sensitive, hence the warning. ❤️) There was a good amount of fighting this spring break, but lots of little surprises, like this, too. spring break bowling ❤️ We dyed these today. #ontopofthings Happy Easter! This year S specified Blue Oven’s Bad Boy bread to go with her pork with tomatoes and scallions. Even though it required a trip to Jungle Jim’s, I loved this (and now you can also find fortune cookies, sushi rice, Indian snack foods, Dutch black licorice and these little French hard cranberry and honey candies dusted in sugar in our pantry ).
